Williamsport, MD (C&O 99.4) to Shepherdstown, WV (C&O 84.4)

Today we will continue along the C&O.  The Killiansburg Cave, located about 50 feet above the towpath at mile 75.7, provided shelter to the town folks during the Antietam Battle. The foliage is fairly heavy in this section which makes it seem quite remote; however it also makes this section quite cool in the summer.  At mile 84.4 there is a 6 mile road detour.

Events:
Tour de Frack Concert
9-10:30pm
Location: Blue Moon Cafe 200 East High Street, Shepherdstown, WV 25443
Members of Team TDF will gather with local and regional allies to share stories and listen to the inspiring music of singer songwriter Zach.
