Butler, PA to Natrona Heights, PA
The first day’s ride will include sections of the scenic Butler-Freeport Community Trail and end with some hilly road riding into Natrona Heights, PA. Traffic will be present. Group riding and helmets are a must. We will be traveling through areas that have seen heavy fracking activity over the past 18 months including the installation of the new pipeline. The day will start with a street-fair-style event in Butler and end with a camp out at Blackberry Meadows Farm.
Events: Big Butler Send-Off Hosted by Marcellus Outreach Butler Download Flyer 10am - Noon 101 E Diamond St Butler, PA 16001 This family focused event will be highlighted with speakers, musicians, and entertainment for the kids. Speakers include: Mel Packer from Marcellus Protest., Dana Dolney from PA CLAW. and others. Riders will depart at 11:45. Right to Farm Event Hosted by Blackberry Meadows Farm 6pm-8pm 7115 Ridge Road, Natrona Heights, PA 15065 Pittsburgh's most community oriented CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) will be hosting the riders for a night of camping, community, and some of the best produce around. |
